Chinook New Year’s Eve Gala brings in the new year

An upcoming New Year’s Eve Gala in Chinook to benefit the revitalization of the city swimming pool and Sweet Park will be held Dec. 31 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds Commercial Building.

Heather DePriest is organizing the event, and community member Viki Tilleman will be spearheading the event as a fundraiser for Friends of the Pool and Park. All proceeds from this event will go toward the rehabilitation of the Chinook Pool and Park project.

“This event is sure to be a great time with wonderful food, drinks, music and dancing,” DePriest said. “Be sure to get your tickets early as a limited number of tickets will be sold. The Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation would like to invite people from across the Hi-Line.”

Food will be provided by Bow and Marrow. The dinner consists of prime rib, chicken thighs in a cream sauce, mashed potatoes, a dinner salad, a seasonal vegetable, and a dinner roll, served by Chef Shaina Hofeldt.

A full bar will be on site. Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. A photo booth also will be available with a red carpet and props. At the end of the night, there will be a countdown timer to ring in the new year.

Once a sponsor has purchased a table, they will also get a customized wine bottle chiller with their name engraved on it to take home, a free bottle of champagne, the sponsor’s name on the table, placard holder on the table, free valet parking, coat check and a recognition of the sponsor will be announced during the event.

There are two options available for sponsoring. One option costs $350, which does not include dinner. The other option costs $800, which includes eight dinners with a discounted meal rate. Aside from sponsoring, the per-plate price will be $60.

“If you are interested in sponsoring, you can purchase your sponsorship online or we can invoice you, whichever you prefer. Reach out to us with any questions or message our page on Facebook,” DePriest said.

The music portion of the evening will be performed by the Dan Harmon band of Kalispell, playing classic ’80s and ’90s music. There will only be a select number of tickets sold for this event, so purchasing tickets ahead of time will ensure a guaranteed seat.

Tickets are also available to purchase in Chinook at First Bank of Montana or American Garage.
