Gale and Jeri Kerns, former Chinook and Great Falls Alumni, have made a donation to the Chinook Pool and Park Rehabilitation Project.  Gale states “we lived just a few blocks from the swimming pool, and as a youngster I lived there.  I started the day at 0630 with the swim team, then moved on to whatever class I could fit into – I remember taking lifesaving – and then coming back in the afternoon for several hours. I did this through Junior High, and loved the pool.  Even as I aged and had to work I would often get to the pool several hours a week. I was never good at racing, but swimming was an important skill, and I used it later to learn to SCUBA dive and travel to fun places for that.”  Thank you so much Gale and Jeri for your generous contribution to the community of Chinook.  We are so grateful for your support and look forward to the project commencing in August.
