Preliminary Project Budget and Timeline
2025:
August – Start of Phase A – Pool Rehabilitation – $1,550,000
2026:
June – Completion of Phase A – Pool Rehabilitation
Phase B: – Park Rehabilitation – $380,000
Phase C: Waterslides – $275,000
Phase D: Splash Pad and Outdoor Stage – $1,095,000
Phase A – Reconstruction of Chinook Pool
Phase A of the Chinook Pool is our number one priority. This phase is the reoncstruction of the pool body as well as the addition of a Zero Depth gravity entrance. The existing baby pool will be removed, pool gutters will be replaced and the main body of the pool will get rehabilitated. This phase will begin August of 2025. Construction may also include the rehabilitation of the locker rooms as well as pool system upgrades.
Phase B – Sweet Park Updates
Below you will find the preliminary design for the updated Playground Equipment at Sweet Park in Chinook. This is a collaborative effort with the Sweet Park Board. Please keep in mind that these are preliminary ideas and plans are subject to change. Phase B will include filling in the park to grade, upgrading the sprinkler system and instaling new playground equipment. This phase may also include new outdoor exercise equipment if funding allows.
